PRODUCTS: POST BRACING SYSTEMS FOR DEER FENCES
Corner, Gate, and End Braces for Deer Fences
One can brace the corners and ends of deer fences with end and corner braces. One can also employ end braces to brace gate approaches, using one brace on each side of the gate. In general, these braces are less effective and more expensive than earth anchors. However, if your fence is short and your still need a bracing system, they make sense.
Please note that these braces are sold in pairs, so that one pair of corner braces will brace two corners, and one pair of end/gate braces will brace two ends (where the fence butts up against a building, wall, or other fence) or one gate. Those who wish to can replace the cement footings for the brace arms with "dead men," these being cement blocks positioned to prevent downward movement of the arms. Also, the brace posts that we offer use drive sleeves. So you will want to put this sleeve (instead of the post itself) into a cement footing.
Braces for a 7-foot Deer Fence
Most deer fence rolls are 7.5 feet tall. After folding out 6 inches at the bottom (which we strongly reccomend), they yield a fence 7 feet tall. So most of our customers getting braces will want to get these braces for a 7-foot fence.
