Corner and End Braces

Corner and end braces, as their name implies, are used to brace deer fence ends and corners. End braces can also be used to brace deer fencing as it approaches gates (use one end brace on each side of the gate)

Overall, we find that corner and end braces are less affordable, installable, attractive, and effective than earth anchors. Among other things, the bracing arms, as well as the brace post itself, should be put in cement footings; or failing that, at the very least the brace arms should be carefully butted up against cement blocks deep in the ground, so that a sideways pull on the fence will not cause the brace arm to sink further into the ground and tilt the post.

For these reasons we dropped corner and end braces from this website, only to find that some customers earnestly wanted them. So we now offer them as an alternative to earth anchors, but we also feel that those who desire them should be forewarned about their drawbacks.
