ROUND POST ACCESSORIES
Brace Bands |
![]() |
To keep your fence from sliding down round posts, put a brace band (item 15-12, sold in bundles of 8) at the top of each post with its tips pointing outward toward the deer, and use the nut and bolt that come with it to tighten it on the post. Then secure the brace band to your fencing with one or two zip-lock ties (see Fasteners), passing the tie under the bolt, around the top of the fencing, and also around any monofilament line that is being used (for details see Monofilament Lines for Deer Fence)
Probably the best way of dealing with fence ends and corners (where trees are not available) is to use earth anchors (item 16-11). For more detailed information see Deer Fence Installation: Deer Fence Corners. If your fence is right on a property line, or if earth anchors are not suitable for any other reason, use corner or end braces (items 15-06 and 15-07 below) to set up strong deer fence corners and ends able to resist the sideways stresses of wind, snow, tree branches, and deer impacts. For corner and end brace installation instructions see Deer Fence Corners.
Extender Arms We offer extender arms (item 15-04) much like the arms that carry barbed wire above chain link fences. When "armed" with 3 runs of 11-gauge monofilament line (item 16-01) secured with zip-lock ties (see Fasteners), these extenders will reliably prevent any possibility of deer jumping over your fence. For more information see Deer Fence Installation, Anti-jumping Insurance.
Drive Sleeves and Caps for Round Posts Should you need an extra 2.5-foot drive sleeve or decorative post cap for any reason, you can purchase these individually (see items 15-14 and 15-15 below).
